Earth Day Week!

This has been a really awesome week! We started volunteering at the Cheyenne MT Zoo! It was Hay Day so we helped unload and stack over a ton of hay. I tried to make a pun I hope that you all liked it. As well for Earth Day we cleaned a park in Manitou we did it as a district and it was a blast, we also found a park and played on that for a while. It had to be done.

We have been running around like crazy meeting new people, It has been really fun getting to know just how different everyone is but how we all have a love for some of the same things! Elder Rodela and I have meet so many wonderful people who love their Families and Love God. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that the Lord has given to me as his son to meet these people!

In a lesson this week we found a story called "the Test" I want to share it with you all now.

“Many years ago, Indian youths would go away in solitude to prepare for manhood. One such youth hiked into a beautiful valley. There he fasted, and on the third day he decided to test himself against the mountain. He put on his buffalo-hide shirt, threw his blanket over his shoulders, and set off to climb the peak.

When he reached the top, he could see forever, and his heart swelled with joy. Then he heard a rustle at his feet. Looking down, he saw a snake. Before he could move, the snake spoke: “I am about to die. It is too cold for me up here, and I am freezing. There is no food, and I am starving. Put me under your shirt and take me down to the valley.”

“Oh, no,” said the youth. “I know your kind. You are a rattlesnake. If I pick you up, you will bite me, and I will die.”

“Not so,” said the snake. “I will treat you differently. If you do this for me, you will be special. I will not harm you.”

The youth withstood for a while, but this was a very persuasive snake with beautiful markings. At last the youth tucked it under his shirt and carried it down to the valley. There he laid it gently on the grass. Suddenly, the snake coiled, rattled, and struck, biting him on the leg.

“But you promised—” cried the youth.

“You knew what I was when you picked me up,” said the snake as it slithered away.

As a worthy bearer of the Aaronic Priesthood, you will always be warned when danger is near. The Lord cannot make your decisions for you, but he will always allow you to be aware of what is right when a decision or action is about to be made. Don’t allow yourself to ever believe that you are “different” in that you can participate in unrighteous activities—even just once—and not be hurt. Remember, “You knew what I was when you picked me up.”

We have been warned by so many to stay away from those things that are bad, please my friends stay strong and don't give up if you fall. Keep going Christ the Lord loves you I know he does!

I hope that you all had an amazing Easter Sunday! I love this time of year, I am reminded of the love Christ has for us. He died for us and most importantly He was Resurrected so that we could also be brought back to live with Him again! I am so grateful for my savior Jesus Christ! I know and Testify that He lives and because of that Truth we will all live again. He offers lasting Peace! #PrinceofPeace

This has been a great week here in the Colorado Springs mission! We Volunteer with Voyages it is a Dementia care center that Goodwill runs. We play games and talk with the people there for a couple hour each week and it is so much fun we always have a party!

We had interviews on Wednesday with our mission President and that is always a good time, I learn so much from talking with him!

There is this family that we meet with and they invited us over for dinner and I told them I like to BBQ so they got me a bunch of stuff to throw on the grill and it was a blast to grill again! you only use like 1 plate it is amazing! I really don't like washing dishes in case you didn't know...

A man in our ward is a Professor at the Air Force Academy and he took us on a tour of some of their Engineering Labs! It was so much fun, we also walked around and saw the Cadet Chapel it is so Pretty! It was so much fun to see the Campus!

I hope that you all had an amazing Easter Sunday and know that Christ lives and will help you find Peace in the world!

April 10th 2017

So I have been doing a much better job of taking pictures and other such adventures, I did however forget my camera today so next week there will be pictures a plenty!

I hope that you all are having an amazing week where ever in the big wide world you are! I have had a really awesome week! We went on a super fun hike through Red Rock Canyon. It is near Manitou Springs and we explored the place it was fun. Then Tuesday Mother Nature made the choice to drop like 6ins of snow and we shoveled a few drives! It was a blast!

We went and talked to a bunch of people in Wednesday and had ourselves a good time there is this little Ice cream place in our area and we ate that!

We also were able to find a new family that we are working with to go to the Temple! I am so excited for them they really want to go and see the Temple and get the work for their family started.

I hope that you were all able to watch the Easter video #PrinceofPeace It is so awesome to think about all that Jesus Christ has done for us, He has opened up the Gates of Death and Hell and made it possible for us to find peace in this life and if we follow Him we can Return to live with Him and our Father in Heaven again! I am so grateful to know that my Savior lives! As we draw closer to Easter Sunday where we Celebrate His Resurrection I hope you will think about all that He has done for you and know that He does truly love all of you and knows your name!

Everyone should go watch this video and then watch the other ones as well they are so amazing and have helped me so much this past week! The video is all about Christ and finding peace through His example and His teachings! It is something that we all need is to find peace in this life it carries us through all the way!
I hope that you all enjoyed General Conference! What a blessing it is to have living Prophets and Apostles, they have been called of God to guide us in today's crazy world! They are men of God! It has helped me find answers to questions I have had and I learned so much. It was so awesome! I loved how much they talked about the Holy Ghost or the Spirit of God. It is his job to testify of truth in all things! How wonderful that has been in my life I know that I have learned so much from his gentle guidance!
We had transfers this week I am now with Elder Rodela, he is a great guy! I am really excited to work with him it has been a fun week so far we saw a deer on our way into an appointment so we took a selfie with it. (Seemed like the right thing to do) and at Transfers I was able to see my son again (the elder I trained) He had to go home because he broke his leg but he is back again! It was so great to see him again!
It was snowing all day Saturday and the Mountains looked so pretty so I thought I would share! I really like clouds and mountains they are the best!
I hope that you all had a great week and if you didn't get a chance to watch it go to LDS.org and go review the talks they are amazing!
